Recently, the optical sensor in my USB mouse malfunctioned. However, the mouse wheel remained functional, which sparked an idea: why not repurpose the mouse wheel for a more immersive DJ experience? I recalled that Virtual DJ software allows the use of a mouse wheel for scratching turntables, and this inspired me to create a project that enhances this feature.
Project Overview
The goal of this project was to build a realistic homemade DJ turntable using the functional components of a USB mouse, particularly focusing on the mouse wheel. By integrating the mouse wheel with Virtual DJ software, I aimed to simulate the tactile feel of a traditional turntable.
